Perth via GCHwy to Alice then Plenty hwy


we are planning on travelling the great central hwy through to Alice, then onto Birdsville via the Plenty Hwy.. In July 2018... Our tug is LC200 gxl with a 24' Semi off road Van.. Can anyone who has done this trek give some info please.. We are planning early...

The roads are unlikely to be any issue if you take it quietly.
But there are significant distances between places that can offer assistance in the event of a breakdown, so a small problem can become expensive.

Ive heard the GCHwy isnt to bad, its the Plenty hwy i had a little concern about.... We will take your advice and drive steady.. agian thanks for the feedback

The Plenty varies according to traffic density (cattle trucks), but it will be generally OK.

our friends did the Plenty from Alice last June - was very green but lots of bull dust in places - they towed a camper trailer
