12 volt fan.

Hi All This is my first post and I need Help.  I have a 12/240 volt fridge freezer in my campervan that we have just finished fitting out

All is going well but I am concerned about the heat build-up from the fridge , could I fit a 12v fan

close to the compressor to move the air around ?  Fridge make Mi****o. Thanks John.

I have just bought a fridge the same as yours woodnbits.
Can I ask a few questions about yours as I am a bit confused.
Is there a light inside yours when you open the door. Mine doesn't have one.
Also the number dial in mine the higher I go up in numbers the colder the fridge goes. Usually it's the other way around.
Maybe you have some ideas for mine.
Haven't got sround to thinking of the extra fan yet but my son thinks it may need doing.

Hi sorry for delay in answering. Thanks for the welcome Aus-Kiwi &Happy Wanderer.

In answer to your questions Fridge model is SU98 2door

Yes it has a light inside and the thermostat works the same as yours.

Another problem that may come up is the lack of door lock  when on the road only time will tell. Today I fitted a computer fan at the back of the unit . Good luck with yours John.

Thanks for that woodnbits. Mine is 95 litre one door. No inside light anywhere.
Yes I wondered about the lack of door lock too but so far and over some very bouncy roads, it has not come open. Hope all goes well with yours.

From what I remember yrs ago.
The Computer box fans worked better drawing the heat up than pushing it?.

IE Fans at top
That way "their heat was pushed up away from fridge.
NOT pulled up through fan and mixing with fridge Comp heat.

Could be wrong.
