Wrong section of the forum, should have been posted in the FREE/BUDGET CAMPSITES section if they're not already in there.

 Hi Barrie

it is one of the first section I check into for updates on stop overs particularly Qld, NSW, and Vic.

If I am going for a drive with the caravan, the week before I refresh my mind on possible places to overnight along the way by checking here.

I was reminded about Yelarbon Recreation Grounds coming home from Lightning Ridge in May, great overnighter.

I think this area gets watched and I have a bucket list for places to visit from following this page.

Now a days we should be recommending members add to or update Wikicamps and not having a section section for Free Camps!

Another one in that area is Proston in the town, opened in mid April. Its not even on wiki, maybe any users are keeping it a secret, in that case I let the cat out of the bag.

If it's posted in the correct section it will be accessible for people to reference anytime. If it's posted in the general discussion section it will disappear, buried forever under all the other paraphernalia. Once it's off page 1 no-one will look at it again. That's what the FREE/BUDGET CAMPS section is for. Simple really, for some.

Hear, hear. Cindy has provided a good ordered forum for us to find things like free camps that others have enjoyed. It's much easier to find things if they are in the correct place.

Why is it that every time someone encourages someone to post their messages in a more appropriate place all the anarchists come out of the woodwork and promote disorder in the forum. I suggest it is not so much the request for members to seek more appropriate forums to create threads. It is the nastiness from the anarchists who follow up that is more off putting. I see the number of followup attacks that is the most off putting.

We want an ordered forum where things are easy to find. Anarchists stay away or do as Cupie did, re-post the info on the correct forum.

From time to time PeterD & I have our disagreements & that's fine and a normal part of life,  but in this case I strongly agree with him.

Perhaps when you find something posted in the 'wrong' sub forum then you might do what I did in this case & copy it to the 'correct' one  ... and politely inform the OP & the reason for your action.

Well done Cuppie for transferring this post early on into the correct section of the forum. Someone has not read this thread thoroughly!

That area of Qld. is well set up for free camps.

Wondai, Murgon, Proston, Wooroolin Tingoora all good sites.

There's also one at Hivesville. Free including power. Good pub meals too.
