Another item off the bucket list

Last week I had to go to Melbourne Eye & Ear for day surgery to get both retinas stuck back. Idea was wife to drive me down, stay the night before and after, then bring me home. Hospital was only 1km from the hotel so I was to walk there and wife would pick me up. About an hour after arriving, wife fell over and broke her ankle. Daughter had to come next morning by train and collect wife and car whilst son had to collect me. Both kids (33 & 35) have been looking after us in relay since. This ticks another bucket list item. LIVE LONG ENOUGH TO BE A NUISANCE TO YOUR KIDS.

My kids have since reminded me that BE KIND TO YOUR KIDS, THEY CHOOSE YOUR NURSING HOME.

Getting better. Good with the kids for various reasons.

What surprised us was that our son couldn't even boil water at 21 when he left home (he didn't drink tea or coffee & still doesn't). Now at 33 he does all the cooking at his house. He was so keen to show up how his cooking skills had progressed somewhat. When we visit him we are either not at meal time, go out to a pub, or dial a pizza. Daughter only lives about 1km away and we do a bit of child minding for her so we see her a lot. However getting son & daughter in the house at the same time is a real juggling act.
