Replacing door latch assembly

Hi all, Camec door latch assembly , the old one wouldn't lock from in side so in my wisdom l took it all apart to see what was jamming it and now can't get it to go back in slider that operates top and bottom locks, is there a special way in re install ?

I couldn't find a video of how to, maybe someone else can get one for you to look at.
What I did find out whilst looking, is a statement of; Ensure you only remove one side at a time otherwise metal rack will fall down making reassembly difficult - there is a PDF pictorial on Camec lock (How to replace Camec door locks - Rev06 2009).
From the pictorial I surmise that the metal gear rack in yours has "Fallen down" making it difficult to re-engage the sprocket gear to the rack. Is the rack still visible (through handle opening) or has it fallen down into door?

I would guess that if fallen into depth of door you would have to remove door from van lay it flat dismantle door side/s, lay it out in horizontal plane and reassemble.

If the rack is still visible it would entail lifting it to a position that sprocket would engage at - you may need to hold it in place (say with heavy Vaseline) until you mesh gear correctly.

Go on You Tube.
They have everything.
I got my Laptop keyboard, instructions. Coromal door lock assy's.

Just about anything you need.
SOMEBODY has filmed it.

I stripped and reassembled a Mantlepiece clock a coupla yrs ago.
1800's model. Worth more than Di's Honda.

Now it goes.
And bloody well strokes every 15 min's.

I only wound that spring up once.

I am in the U.K. on holiday at present. I replaced mine about six months ago. Get a table and chair next to your door and lay everything out as you will see on U Tube. Now for the best advice that I received. BE PATIENT !!!!!!!!! I found that my my finest moment was a gentle thump to get the lock lined up. Good luck.
