Austria summer 2017

Austria June/July 2017.

I realise tthat this not our beautiful Australia, we are every so lucky or unlucky our son lives in Innsbruck, Austria where we go to spend about 2 months each year. Mum needs time with son.

I enjoy the history here and the colours.

I apologise to all the purist, photos captured with my Samsung mobile phone.

Hope you enjoy. Ralph

Radar, thank you, I enjoyed them. Even though there is still a little bit of snow on the mountains, the people are dressed in summer clothes. thought it would be a little cooler.

 Hi Lynda thank you.

Now a couple of weeks on all but the last of the snow is gone, up in the Italian Alps where the sun don't shine on it there is stil a little snow.

Temps got to about 34cel here yesterday, much the same today, it is a little uncomfortable, lucky we wear very light travel clothing which helps.

Son said its hottest summer it has been for a long time, Tuesday before we get some relief.

Better then our Brisbane friends travelling around UK,  22 wet days except one sunny day. They took a photo of it for proof.

We hope there last week is better before returning home. This is there first overseas tour.

Well done done Ralph. I love the slightly snow capped mountains that just seem to be just at the edge of the city. Your Samsung mobile phone has done justice to the area and I tell you that for free.

Just shows you don't don't need expensive cameras with flashy lenses to take good images. I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 that takes some pics for me that provide memories for later down the beaten track. I often look through my pics on the poota on bad days from journey's many moons back and enjoy the memories.

I hope we get to meet up and share a drink and a chat again one day.

Well done, again mate.

Beautiful shots Ralph! Those phone cameras do incredible work these days. You should see my mobile. Does nothing but make phone calls - old fart's job. I can cheat and use the missus' phone though if I don't have my DSLR handy. And that's quite a lot, because they're a bit of a pain to lug around.

 Thank you for the compliment.

I ran out of hand me down phones, our friend though work would get a new phone each year and I would get the 2 year old one. My first new phone in 10 years and did that hurt.

How true, DSLR are a bit to lug around as we put years on.

The other day my super pro point and shoot Canon G12 packed it in, my son has updated his camera to bigger and better Canon and now I have a hand me dowm Canon EO5 DSLR to carry around. Most days I leave it at home and take my wandering with the phone.

Friday morning here was a beautiful morning and we were heading up in the mountains, took the big and manage to get some beaut scene shots. Time and place for big ones.
