Bob Jane tyre free replacement trye

Purchased 2 Bob Jane Tyres last October and have done 5,000 ks, yesterday bumped a sharp gutter and damaged the sidewall, took it to Bob Jane expecting to pay for a new tyre but they replaced it for free, thanks Bob Jane.

policy is only for Bob Jane tyres with less than 20% wear

Better than Bridgestone Blowout through side of tyre 15,000 Ks Tyre Delaminated on inside Technicians said never seen one like it before in 30 years - Bridgestone would not replace - had to outlay $320 to get replacement (they said would return to Bridgestone and I would be reimbursed after their testing) Needless to say no further information from Bridgestone. Come in SUCKER.

Bridgy's.

I had one delaminate few yrs ago. Up here.
Took to Bridgy agents.

They checked depth of tread. deducted me with that from another tyre.
We always do that he says.

Fair enuff I reckon. I used it.
They ARE a business. NOT a freebie station.

Actually fitted it to spare. and ran used spare as main tyre.
Kept them even. (I ALWAYS rotate 5. or 6. depending.)

macka, I agree with a pro rata contribution - but after paying nearly $1300 for 4 tyres which were replacements for previous Bridgestones - The tyre tread looked as if no wear but the delamination on inside of all the layers was something else and definitely cause of blowout through side wall - they didn't even contribute to any of the replacement cost - pretty poor show I thought.

Probably unlucky fella.
I've used Bridgy's for over 20 yrs. ALWAYS (99% anyway) A\T 10pr.
Always run at 32 cold with maybe up a couple up with van on rear.
Rotate every 10k. and 5-6k when towing.

Always changed out at around 50\55k
I like to see tread on my tyres.

and they seem to get a little "slippy" in wet with van on after that point.
Compound seems to change?.

Delam like that. I'd have come the "Consumer Affairs" and Fit for use. line.

I rang Bridgy head office (on line no) and they told me to go to......

They were waiting.

hi
Its disappointing in OZ that even the tyre companies a ripping people off .

The reality is greed plain and simple .

They use to offer free Wheel align /balance /rotate for the life of tyre .Prorata, Goodyear was just one company.

As we all are aware the tyre prices in the USA common tyre size -- A/T cheap brand /common brand thru to Michelin . AMAZING 40$ difference between all .
Cheap started at 90$$ to the MIchelin at 145$

Bridge stone might be a quality tyre but not at 300-400$$ Just plain greed ..
