Our Coorong to the Murray Mouth Trip - Part 2

After slowly traveling along the Coorong we then spent a week in Meningie, three nights at the Narrung Ferry free camp, 3 nights at Milang on Lake Alexandrina then a week at Goolwa near the Murray mouth.

We also did day trips to Victor Harbor & Cape Jervis where the Kangaroo Island ferry was being buffeted by 60kph winds. At nearby Waitpinga beach we photographed some endangered Hooded Plovers. Narrung has Australia's only inland lighthouse & nearby at Raukkan the church on the $50 note.

On the way back to Melbourne we stayed at three free camps, Kingston SE, Dartmoor & Panmure Recreation Reserve east of Warnambool. The Panmure Hotel has great meals & does a wonderful high tea in a beautifully decorated room.

Have stayed at all the camps you mentioned, except at Panmure I stayed at the back of Annie and Graham's pub. (Lovely people).

All the places in your first 2 paragraphs are in my back yard. Great areas for anyone intending to visit.

Cheers, John.
