Just picked up our new used van

We all know that story, driven by one old lady and only on Sundays...

Sometimes it is true, my wife and I just purchased a used Compass Park Avenue 14ft Poptop van and yes, 1 owner, purchased new in 2005 and never put on the road in anger.

Only ever used, parked up under cover for her grandchildren to stay in while visiting on holidays.....

Anyway, we feel we have picked up a pretty good rig..

Went up to Tulley Heads about 4 days prior to TC Debbie drifting past us (lucky for us)...

Once home, we decided to update the vans interior a little.

Repainted trimms, removed all the old curtains and replaced with roller blinds, chippied up some pelmets and installed them to cover the rollers.

In all, not a bad result, at least it feels more like our little travelling home now....

Strangest thing is we have two rollout awnings, one at the side and one at the rear to cover our rear entry door (another quirky thing)....

If it hasn't already been done I'd suggest that the tyres, including the spare, be replaced due to their age.

Looks like a very nice unit.

Thanks, unfortunately not, I was more worried about getting the van safely back to Townsville...

TC Debbie was starting to make rumblings off the coast and the rain was pretty bad from Tulley right through to Ingham....

looks great, very similar to your Comoral compac 402. We are very happy with the layout. We have a full annex with goes at the back.
