Unfortunately some members don't notice that they have a private message.

As an example I pm'd a member about a week ago seeking comments on their new caravan.

Member accessed the forum yesterday and either didn't notice the pm or ignored it.

Hi Bill B, I have had the same problem but the other way around. As I use a tablet to access the forum I don't get the full forum page only a mobile version. When I'm logged in I cannot tell that I have a PM. The last time I logged in on my desktop computer the full forum page showed several messages months old that I did not know about? That could be the problem?

Which is why I put up this post! Also on Techs and I Digress. Hopefully he will come on soon -met them in WA last year, but we forgot to exchange numbers, relying on the forum for contact.

Get their name from forum profile and put into online whitepages and you probably have found their phone number.

 The way to overcome that is to change your profile so you get emails when a PM arrives. Click on your nam at the tp of the page, then click on settings. You will then see an heading "Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages", click on the yes button and then "Save Changes" at the bottom. You will then never miss a PM that is sent to you.

There are some other things that you might like to change to assist your use of the forum. I have also set up "Email Digest of New Topics" so I can check to see things I have missed the previous day.
