Outside duel wheels inflation.

G'day!

Mazda T 3500 m/home. With the reasonably new idea of tyre pumps in servos,  where you simply attach it to the valve, select the pressure you want, and it's automatic.

I have the valve extensions fitted to the inside tyres. Trouble was, getting the outside tyre pumped up.

So, went to a tyre place, and bought valve extensions to suit. But, I had to remove the (outside) tyre to fit the "U turn" valve extensions securely.

Cheers.

Yes some out back only have 60lb pressure too . I carry a truck type gauge tyre connector . So I can check tyre pressure . I usually run the outside tyre 8 to 10 lb higher than inside . Due to road camber and vehicle stabilitity . 80 inside 90 outside .

Anything I had to do a with trucks had both inside and outside same pressure. Ask any reputable tyre fitter, one that does truck tyres. If you want to try 10psi difference feel the difference in heat and hot tyre pressure between the tyres after a reasonable drive. Neil

A semi is totally different to motorhome . Our EPV vehicles with high centre of gravity was the same . More pressure on outside . The curve of the road plus better stability . If temps are high then. Pressure are way too low . In my case recomensed operating pressures are 80 to 100 Lb . On 5.5 / 7.5. Max ton . Way with in specs .

Thanks for the difference in opinions.
However, my bus is designed and loaded for one, only.
I buy from Tyrepower, and they always recommend 60 psi.
No worries.

Ex truckie of over 40 years on big bangers, rule of thumb when fitting tyres and rotation, draw a camber of the road and imagine the lean!...looking at the low side tyres fitted as follows, getva tyre fittervto explain if you dont understand...hi side, outside left side inside right side......all tyer pressures to be equal...lower pressure on one tyre each side will tell you its hotter....but each to his own....rotation and pressures are the se
