Gunbower Camp near Kerang/Koondrook VIC

Gday...

This camp is fairly well known to a number of GNs but I thought I would just add to the information.

Gunbower State Forest, Murray River Reserve CAMPS 8 VIC site 292 GPS 35 39 47 S 144 07 47 E

Canoe Trail, about 23Km NE of Kerang off the Kerang-Koondrook Road, provides access to the camps along Gunbower Creek and is a well-formed dirt track in very good condition and is trafficable by big rigs and 2WD vehicles.

There are long drop toilets and water from Gunbower Creek definitely not potable ... but quite OK for washing the dishes and clothes and cooking with.

No dump point ... but no grey water issues either.

There is a main camp area and numerous other openings off Canoe Trail to suit anyone including big rigs if necessary.

There is a boat ramp next to the main camp area.

Pets are allowed under control and there is internet/mobile access (Telstra 3G).

Here are a couple of photos.

Cheers - John

Great report Rocky. Good to see some pics of the place too. Gives a good overview for sure for those that haven't been there. YET. It will be crowded when you go there next biggrin

Shut the front gate! I don't even need to go to Physio for my neck and I tell you that for free mate biggrin
