Caravan Park in Roma Qld

Caravan parks and the Showgrounds are not what I call good value BUT we now have a park opened up at Roma Gun Club which is very good value with spotless amenities and large sites for aprox $10 per night cheaper. We stayed for a week and had gun noise for less than an hour on Thursday night only,$25 per night, stay 7 pay 6. Cheers Baz

disbelief Well we were to a farm stay just out side Roma, when i rang to confirm that we were coming i was rudely told SEASON CLOSED and was hung up on, and when you read the broachers i read it states they are open all year, not happy so i checked the parks for what they want  sure not worth it,rang the show ground and the cost was $33.00 p/n. NOT an RV friendly town i thought, so we went to Mitchell where we were to do a house sit for two weeks, but before we did ,we stayed at the Major Mitchell caravan park for 6 days, what a great place that is right on the river too and the hot springs just over the bridge, we did not mind paying $30.00 p/n with your own unsuite, very clean the camp kitchen was spotless too and we found the people of Mitchell very friendly ,and we did not mind spending our money there either,

Yes Jules I have found when traveling the info from the forum is very limited, When I have thought there would be mine field of imformation out there , I have often seen helpful post from you when you are traveling , I think a lot just travel from free camp to free camp but still do not comment on the camp

I think so also Brickies - shame people don't post more - when we were in Tassy few years ago, some posted that we were posting about our travels and stops for the accolades - bit disappointing when all we were doing was trying to encourage more to head over there. Which is why we post about some of the beautiful places we see, and camp.
