The horizontal waterfall WA

Winter is on the way, and thousands of people will be heading north. If you stay at Broome, Derby or Kununurra, you may wish to fly over the above tourist attraction.

I lived in the Kimberley a few years ago, and noted that a lot of tourists paid hard earned money to take the scenic flight, only to return disappointed as the "falls", weren't falling.no.gif

I suggest, as I did some years ago when living in Derby, that when you book your flight, ask the person taking your money if the "falls" will be flowing.

If the answer is, should be, maybe, or, don't know, I suggest that you say if it isn't "flowing", when you do the flight, that they should give you a refund.

This also applies to the pilot. They have to know. Friends of mine did the flight, only to see nothing more than flat water.

Regards.

Pipes.

Something I want to do, will be very disappointed if the falls aren't flowing
Would certainly like to know at time of booking. Surely they would know at that time.

We did it some years ago and it was flowing and it was well worth the money spent also stayed the night on the houseboat there fantastic. Would have been a different story if the falls were flat. We were told the exact tide prediction at the booking place at the time that was the tourist office

When we did the flight years ago, the price of the trip varied according to the tide times.  When the falls were at their peak it was dearer. We could only get the 2nd best time. It was amazing.
