Good on you Sarg, the Mt Isa Rodeo will spin your mind - it was a riot when we used to go in the 90's....more characters come in from the bush than you'll ever see at 'celebrity' events like the Birdsville races'.
Great to see you've finally escaped.

Will keep an eye out for your van.  We leave Darwin 1st August, and will eventually get to the Isa, can't  be anymore specific than that at this stage.

Have fun, and drive safe.

Hako, I used to live in The Isa from '82 till '94 and saw every Rodeo/Mardi Gras in that time. What a time !!! Some characters that I recall were King Billy Coke Bottle and Ted Egan..... and all the drunken cowboys. I still have some good mates there so I will be stopping in the area for a few months at this stage............ Sarg.

Camooweal has a great Rodeo as well, people come from everywhere, another one to put on the agenda is passing through that way.

In May/June usually so looks like 2015 is the next one.

Ken,(DUN WURKUN).....Bryan (Bryan).....Friar (Friar Park) and Gary......I can't take any credit for the vans name.

I got it off a fellow GN when we were thinking up a name for it. I thought it was good so it stuck..........so now you can't miss me (and I can't hide)
See ya out in the playground..........Sarg.

We are heading off on the 15th getting out of the cold too. We were going to go up through Gilgandra to Lightning Ridge but seeing it's so cold we think we will head north and then next month move to the inland. Your van looks great, we might see you out there.
