not a good way to park caravan & car

This was our home, waiting on a new one. Can't wait to be able to head north out of this cold weather and meet up with GN's . Will be heading to Queensland asap . Happened near Derby W.A.noSDC10833.JPGSDC10835.JPGSDC10836.JPG

The chassis was bent and so was the cab roof. We now have a new one. Thank goodness we were only doing 75 km

Happy to hear you are both OK.

Can you enlighten us on how it happened? We all might learn something so as not to repeat your experience.

Thanks for the feedback Wanderers. Sounds a bit like a mechanical or tyre failure?? I know I'm speculating and sorry about that.

Happy to hear alls going well and sounds like you may be on the road again soon. Good luck with the purchase.

Glad you are both ok.

From the pics there is a common question, why does a van of this size have a large water tank behind the axles which will make it tail heavy.

There looks to be plenty of room in front of axles or in between.

Must admit Jm we have three tanks, two sit just behind the suspension and one forward but our Simplicity suspension is set back from centre and do have a high ball load. I think the main reason some manufacturers do this is to take weight off the ball or it could have a front kitchen and part of the "balance". All conjecture of course.
