Redland Bay ferry terminal

We are thinking of spending a couple of days looking around the islands ((Russell ' McLeay etc). Does any anyone have any info or advice on Motor home parking, or camping around the ferry terminal. Any suggestions welcome.

As an ex-patriot of the Redlands, I know there are no caravan parks close to the ferry terminals.  Closest would be Green Acres Caravan Park on Mt Cotton Road at Capalaba.  You can island hop mostly in one day, so your motorhome would be safe at the parking area near the ferry terminal

There is also the Gateway Lifestyle Holiday & Residential park- 22=34 Collingwood Road Birkdale that is still allowing caravans to stay, although its in the process of converting to cabins only. Birkdale is about 10-12k from Cleveland. I am currently in a van at this park - its quite pleasant.

Green Acres is just up the road from my sister's place, on the corner of Mt Cotton Road and Greenfield Road. Not sure how active it is now, just got back from a short visit and there's no big signs or anything to advertise its presence. If you go there suggest you enter Greenfield Road by turning left off Mt Cotton Rd (heading east) - otherwise you're heading uphill approaching a curve with oncoming traffic scooting along at 80 km/h.
