It would pay to check you local directory, in Brisbane it is 6.30pm real time and the Wide Bay area it is 7.00pm real time while in southern state they are on funny summer time LOL

I checked the Perth TV guide on line and it's not mentioned. I really would have liked to see it.

Channel 7, "today tonight" in Qld. Even the promo looks biased to me.

Bummer.......sometimes they have it in Perth on the following night so keep tuned just in case.....(Wait Awhile State)...furious.

NB: I have just sent TDT in Perth an email asking it to be included if not tonight then tomorrow night, each CH7 State TDT does their own program mostly of local stuff for their state, so here's hoping....

Here is the link http://au.news.yahoo.com/today-tonight/latest/article/-/20590788/an-age-old-problem/

The caravan park operator was from Big 4 they manage the CMCA park in Casino so they would not be speaking out against Grey Nomads and their desire to free camp

Cheers

David

Well it seems to me that they were talking about the GN`s that free park in Qld and the money that the park owners miss out on. When we were in Tassy a couple of years ago , there was talk about free parking but the 4 parks that were complaining were all booked out and we couldn`t get in anyway so what is the problem. I retired 6 months ago and intend to get on the road in the next few months and with the number of Gn`s on the road its becoming a worry about the prices these parks charge , the revenue that we put into small towns must be astonishing.

However, how nomadic were the people in the story..... The motor homes were rentals
Tell the truth how many of us that take advantage of free camps spent $100 per day in the towns, let alone can afford too,
If you cant afford caravan parks don't buy a 400000 motor home

hi all

I am not quiet a grey nomad yet but getting close. I watched today tonight and yes the councils will lose patronidge in their town if not careful. However I was talking to a friend who dose a lot of free camping he was saying that a friend of his was going to a big 4 caravan park for this period of time for a stay and told him that he was getting charged $130.00 for a van site a night I thought no that doesn't sound right so I checked the park mentioned and was I gob smacked the price stated is $143.00 a night minimum of 2 nights.  So the council may not want free camping sounds like the park is trying to price themselves out of business aswell my wife and I liked the particular park but will not be going back to that park again.

Sorry for putting post here I thought between the councils and van parks may create problems for themselves.

Chris

@NeilandRaine

they were not 400.000 dollar for sure and I would not be able to spend 6/700 a week

Very positive program
We've got some friends living down there so we will become a member of the Beerwah RSL
( we used to go there when staying in Glashouse anyway )

Cheers John

I missed it. I thought it was a stand alone programme, not part of today tonight.

This is a more direct link. In an article 5 minutes and 14 seconds long, its difficult to get a good balance between opposing sides. I would have liked to hear the opinions of Town Councilors apart from a Caravan Park Operator and a Tourism Officer

everything for the kids, keeps them out of the way of parents, wombats do not need those things so why pay for them.
