This is a promotional photo of many of the actors under contract with MGM at the studios 20th birthday party.
That must have been in the year before James Stewart shipped out with the 445th Bomb group. The calm before the storm and the hard-earned medals and promotions.
Great photo and memories. June Allyson was my favourite when I was 12 despite not having big breasts....I still get dreamy over her.
The Fantale wrappers gave the vital statistics - Jayne Mansfield 42" etc. Who cared how they could act, big breasts was the key. Maybe that attraction is greater in breast fed baby boys.

Those bras with the false conical shape and points ('sweater girl') were ridiculous and were lampooned even then. Women choose their fashion, not men and there is abundant proof of that. For example, women with those elastic pants for casual and exercise, ye gods! -Equally bad are those 'Moose Knuckle' lycra pants with the chimpanzee bum pads worn by male cyclists to commute to work.
