We enjoyed it Liddle, the weather gods were on our side and because of stiff winds they kept most of the flies and mozzies at bay, they tell me it is magnificent around September/October during the wildflower season too. The Dryandra is a member of the Banksia family (bush, not a tree though) and has only recently been categorised as so.

We recently stayed at the Lions Dryandra Woodlands Village for two days/nights in the Magpie cottage (all self contained and air conditioned) and from there did a tour at Barna Mia animal sanctuary at night.
The Congelin camping area shown in Camps 7 is about 14 kms from the village, we visited that as well for a look see.
We didn't see a numbat either Glenda, they are the ones that come out during the day but are very elusive, whereas the others come out at night. See; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numbat
We did see all of the others though and particularly the Bilbies at the Barna Mia Sanctuary. Well worth the visit.
We stayed in the "Magpie" hut during our stay at the village. Here are some shots of our hut.

We have stayed at the camp site twice, 5 days each time and absolutely enjoyed it. Unfortunately we did not see a numbat, but the bird life was great.
We intend to stay again next year on our visit to SW WA. Maybe we will get luckily with a numbat sighting.
So impressed with the WA Parks, reasonable costs for camping, Parks Pass for Tourists, wood and fire pits supplied. No wonder we head back every 2 years from Victoria.
this time we will be seniors so even better costs.
Hope you manage to see it (Barna Mia) Glenda, you may be lucky to see some in the wild but you are more likely to see them at the Sanctuary which is fully fenced. It is important to check with Narrogin Tourist Centre for the opening times or check online as they are not open every night.
While at the village we saw a huge black feral cat which has now been reported, it ran off into the bush when it saw us.
There is no internet or mobile coverage at the village, but they do have a Telstra pay box there, and also if you drive up on a hill on the main access road in (ask the on site managers) you can get mobile reception, I did that a couple of time with my Telstra mobile, not sure about other providers.
