Renmark - Free MH only Park

In Cowra Street, in the carpark of the swimming pool - huge gravelled area - dump point and potable water available.  About 1.5k from shopping centre, with Big W, Woolies etc.  Not far into the town itself.  Bowls club across the road, presumably they have meals some nights.

This is a designated Motorhome (self contained?) spot only - would fit about 50 vehicles, and we were on our own last night.

Could be council regulations, as apparently other free camps in that municipality are also designated motorhomes only.

Sorry for the delay Johnz - not in Camps 7 - but I got it from Wykicamps - - couldn't get TV - the guy next to us moved somewhere else (Bert Dix #103 Camps 7) - because he could get tele - strange all those free camps have notices saying MOTORHOMES ONLY - no caravans!

Jules, thanks for the reply, will be going through Renmark early next on the way to SA. Not worried about the TV reception.

The stopover is ok for an overnighter - easy to get to - down Fifteenth Street - very short drive to shopping centre with Woolies, Big W etc - very quiet!

The free camp area heading out of Renmark towards Barmera and Morgan (near an old wild life park) also states 'Motorhomes only - No Caravans'. I'm not sure of the reason either as it's a HUGE open park....

Hi There Paul...and Val,

I'm interested to know if you've had your Sprinter for long...we have just bought ours.

Have you been happy with it...are there any hints or warnings you think we might need to be made aware of ??

We recently had to change the sprintshift pump, with only 70,000 ks on the clock....(2004 T1N)...bit of a shock...

that little 6 inch long pump...fit  in the palm of your hand...$1100 !!!! plus labour.

Fortunately the previous owner was decent enough to help us out with that expense...50/50, since we had only owned it for a couple of weeks.

Quite an intro to Mercedes !!!...but otherwise we are very pleased with it...drives beautifully...comfortable...and with the swivel front seats, very roomy.

Update for both free camps at Renmark, January 2019

Both free camps, the one at the swimming pool, and the one out of town

They are both closed to camping

I do not know the story, on how/why, I just kept going, and spent money elsewhere
