Moree - Rockhamton

After the rain a week or so ago, the roads between Moree and Rockhamton are very very rough in sections with sections of traffic controlled road works, also watch for trucks carrying the gas line pipes they won't be watching for you

I regularly travel this road and sections of it cross black soil plains and hence the surface can be quite uneven in many places. It's been subjected to much flooding in recent years and hence the roadworks. As well as the gas pipes, one is likely to encounter other serious wide loads too. Despite this it is in my opinion still a better option than the Bruce/Pacific Highway to get from NSW/Vic to Nth Qld.

When you say Moree to Rockhampton, just exactly which roads are you referring to after Goodiwindi. There are two or three options after leaving the border. I go that way a lot, perhaps town to town would help.
