9kg bottles have now become 8.5kg - so be aware of this as you put them back in the cradle - they will need to be tightened up quite a bit. And yes, we paid $38.95 for a swap bottle at Broken Hill - here they are $34.20.

3 lt should equate to 3 kg. i reckon about $38 for a 9 kg is not bad money. work out how much a week or a day it costs you, some people get a month out of it, $10 a week.

It may be reasonable but not when BCF charge around $20 -$25

Ken is that for swapping bottles or filling bottles? $38 is for swapping. I'll go to BCF if it's for swapping!

In Mackay, Qld I saw swaps at coles servo, 3.7 & 4kg for $27 & 9kg for $37

I have mine refilled as swaps are average $10 + dearer.

On this trip & 4.5kg has been between $13 to $17, I use BCF if possibile, Have found the rural Produce stores are very good as well.

That's what we have found mostly too justcruisin for the 9Kg bottles. Swaps are normally dearer. But oiur local hardware guy charges around $32 for a swap, and about $37 for a refill (not sure of exact prices cos I got it somewhere else cheaper) His reasoning, when I asked him why, was that it takes him more time to do a refill so he charges more. A garage not to far away charges just under $22 for a refill.
