Trumatic E2400 Gas Heating

Has anyone got one of these installed? www.truma.com.au ???

I saw it advertised and wondered if it would be suitable (and safe enough) to have in our small (11') van.  In theory, it would be good being gas powered and 12 volt, but am interested in what others say.

Thanks,

Garry

I have to agree with Landfall, we had a truma 2400 installed in our new van when it was built,SWMBO loves it. The control is beside our bed so if it gets a little frosty you can just reach over and turn it on(remember to remove the exhaust cover before retiring) warms the whole van up in 10 minutes or so.

It will be in any van we buy from here on.

Nice and quiet too

Yes, we have a Truma gas heater in our caravan. It came as a standard feature.

In a word:- FANTASTIC!

Does not use much gas or power, often in winter I turn it on in the wee hours of the morning so that when we get up the van is nice and cosy.

The ducting goes into the ensuite as well.

It inspired us to get the diesel version fitted to our yacht.

Recommend.

If we had to choose betweenthe A/C and the heater?

Goodbye A/C.

Dusty

Thanks for for your prompt responses, and such positive comments.  I will definitely have to have a good look at one of these.

Hi all
Do not buy anything from www.dometic-waeco.com.au
This is big rip off for australians, "This people" are making $1,300 minimum profit on one Truma E2400 gas heater unit!!!!
I did my GOOGLE............for example.... http://www.build-a-camper.com/view-product/Truma-Trumatic-E2400-Heater
Good luck to you all, Jeremy

This is why the purchasers are turning to buying on line from overseas.

We recently purchased a 12v fan to be installed in our van while being built.

To purchase here, one of the Melbourne rv dealers was asking $220 .

We purchased from America. With postage we paid $128.
