Old sayings On The Back Of Letter Envelopes (Snail Mail)

Some of us may remember when we only had Snail Mail when LOL was put on the back of a letter envelope and it meant Lots of Love, not the internet lingo meaning of today.

SWALK was another saying put on the back of envelopes meaning Sent With A Loving Kiss.

And of course some would put on the back of the envelope;

Postie, postie, don't go slow, be like Elvis and Go Man Go!

Anyone else know a few on the backs of envelopes way back or today other than our names and addresses?

I always put a stamp on mine biggrinbiggrin and I can remember they were only 5c. Just a little different now. disbeliefno

I once got a letter with "CHIP"written on the back.

Ford Ranger (with kayak on top) towing a 21ft Jurgens toilet and shower with room for a kitchen, dining and bedroom

 

My wife does all the driving

I still put SWALK on the cards I send to those very special to me, the old days are very much still with me lol, and I love them.  I like the personal touch of sending cards, letters and photos by post and not over the PC,  its a joy to read something hand written......Kisha
