Pussy Cat Flats, Pine Creek NT

Stopped in at Pussy Cat Flats at the Pine Creek Turf Club NT for a few days last week & really enjoyed ourselves, $8.50 pp-pn powered site. It was well kept & clean with level turf sites. There is only one meeting annually but I think they only accommodate vans in the dry season. The manager, Rennie, is very obliging & hospitable & opens the bar in the covered betting ring at 4pm daily & his wife cooks a great meal or snacks. Being only 2ks from town on the Kakadu Road it would also make a good home base for trips into the Kakadu National Park. Plus there is a rough 9 hole golf course maintained around the outer & inner of the track. Worth a look at if traveling north. Just my opinion though.

Regards Terry R.

we have stayed here as well, the sites were all gone so we were put on the actual race track with 2 other vans. We had a wonderful time.
