Gday...

I have spent the past week at the Kilcoy Showgrounds - on the west side of Kilcoy on the D'Aguilar Hwy opposite the Esk/Kilcoy Road.

Set well off the highway there is a very large grassed area for many vans with plenty of power sites available with taps. Water taste and pressure is good. Showers and toilets - clean but basic (actually the jockey showers and changerooms). Resident caretaker who comes to collect fees. $15/night - maximum of 7 nights stay.

Also in town is the Anzac Memorial Park camping area on the eastern approach to the town. Close to town but only about half acre in size and right on the busy highway. Showers and toilets - 'public toilet block' style - clean but basic. Honesty box with fees at $15/night whether powered or not - maximum stay 3 nights. Big rigs may find it a litle cramped especially if popular on arrival.

Kilcoy has a good shopping town with all the expected shops including a large IGA supermarket open 7 days.

Cheers

John
