Any ideas of where to free camp between Cunnamulla and Bourke or camp grounds.
Thanks

In NSW, there are a couple of paved (sealed roads) rest areas and a dozen or more locations that would be very suitable for an overnight stay

Nothing much between Cunnamulla & Bourke mate except some roadside stops.
Nothing in Bourke either except in the parking area of Tourist Info Centre on south side of town. Be careful parking anywhere in Bourke township.
Quite a few good roadside stops between Bourke & Cobar though, so allow enough time to look around Bourke & then 50klms or so south, but you will get trucks going through all hours. Good luck!!

We stayed at Paddabilla Bore which is around fifty klms west of Cunnamula. It was a delightful spot, lots of room and not a problem to be had. We drove right in and camped to the left (you will understand if you stop there) under the trees. Lots of firewood as well. Its not real well sign posted but if you keep an eye on the klms you will find it ok. One other camper there but not close enough to bother us at all.

It is #:832 in Camps 5.

We rated it high and would have stayed a few extra days but had to move on. Nothing there but peace and quiet. wink

Just a quick edit: The next night we stayed at 4 Mile Campground about 4 klms out of Brewarrina. That was also a lovely spot, right on the river with flush toilets. It says showers as well but only cold water in them I think. About five other campers there on that night.

#: 396 in Camps 5.

Hope this helps.
