She certainly is Jack.    Over to you.

The last of the Spitfire girls Mary Ellis, who flew 76 different aircraft during the Second World War, has died at her home on the Isle of Wight aged 101.

The Oxfordshire native died in Sandown , and was one of the two last surviving UK female Air Transport Auxiliary (ATA) pilots.

Mrs Ellis flew 400 Spitfires and 76 different types of aircraft during WWII, and just before her 100th birthday she was able to fly once more in a Spitfire.

One of the last few living British female World War II Ferry Service pilots, the legendary Mary Ellis, died peacefully at he home, at 101, on the Isle of Wight this past Tuesday evening, the 24th of July 2018.

Just last year, Mary posed by a restored WII Spitfire, 400 of which she successfully ferried.

Mary chats with Prime Minister, Teresa May at 10 Downing Street, London

Mary Ellis outside 10 Downing St., where she visited with UKs PM, Teresa May, in celebration of her 100th birthday.

Australian Mrs Keith Miller was better known in America than she was in her own country.

Her introduction to celebrity status was as the first woman to fly across the world from England to Australia-her friend Bill Lancaster taking her as a passenger in his two seat Avro Avian.

The pair went on to America where Chubbie learnt to fly and became well known in air-racing circles as one of the most successful women contestants.
