Bunbury WA
Starting to cool down now, official 10șC at 9.30pm, feels like 2șC due to the wind factor
Wind and rain are forecast for next week

Went to Perth yesterday, left Bunbury at 5am, and it was high winds driving the rain for most of the way
Windscreen wipers were working overtime

Aramac, road closed yesterday due to rain and recent damage on roadworks. Van park full, Council park not yet finished, Pub's back yard full, with only space left a bog pit. So camped up in street till given ok on roads. Hopefully will get the all clear early afternoon.

Plenty of beer in the pub, but kitchen wont be up and running for around 2 weeks.

There are worse places to get stuck by the weather........

Overcast ! Dry inside . Light on in kitchen its so overcast . The rain is welcome . I hear its raining other side of mountains. Gulgong, Mudgee etc . Great !!

We can see the BOM radar station from where we live near Beenleigh Qld.

We are about to get a little rain which I believe will be the first drops in say the last 8 to 10 weeks.

Heavenly spray, but does not look like we will get that much.

Check it out below.

Bingara. NSW.

Great weather. 28 degrees under the awning.

Terribly dry of course. I'd love to see a good rain to give these poor farmers some hope.

XMAS Eve in Sunny Brissie ..

Sunny, except for the usual summer electrical storm that just ripped through the area.

Power lines down in our suburb, but the fantastic people from Energex were out in the elements & had us back on line in less than an hour.

Great work.  We have wonderful community services in this country.

More storms & rain expected for XMAS Day.

Brissie on XMAS Morning

Well, put the AC on in the XMAS Dinner lounge awaiting the arrival of the hordes & guess what - down came the rain.

It wasn't expected (by me) until late this afternoon.

So, AC off, doors open & ceiling fans on.

Is it too early for a XMAS tipple?

When I was much much younger I would start the XMAS morning with a scotch in bed.  Helped to dull the hangover (I used to tell myself).

MERRY XMAS ALL

edit  ... Update ....  by lunch time it had fined up to beautiful blue sky & mild temp.  A great day AC or not.

Here in Tropical Cairns, its hot & humid mornings and afternoon thunderstorms and rain. Wet Season is building up, so expect heavy rainfall in a few weeks.

Since XMAS day the weather here in Brissy has been fab.

The nights are pleasant and the outside temp in the middle of the day not too hot.  Just enough to take advantage of the good rain of the last few days and keep the garden growing.

My water tanks are full and the grass is no longer brown & crunchy.  It's more like spring than our spring was this year.

More rain on the way, which is good.

We feel for those in the southern states suffering from the current heatwave & catastrophic bush fires.

Meanwhile the Polies play their stupid bloody games with Volunteer special payments. Unbelievable!
