The honorable Webmaster Cindy, Hall of Fame Guru nominee Mr Dave06, distinguished Veteran members, members and guests. It has befallen on me, to welcome all of you to this Record Attempt. Firstly though, a little house keeping to be part of this attempt, you will need to be active every 10 minutes or so, else the system logs you off, and therefore you cannot be counted. As you know, the number 42, while it is the answer to Life the Universe and everything well it sucks having stood for far too long without a serious challenge. I put this situation to the members, and the groups decisions was that it should go, and today is D day The site started on Feb 2005 and the number 42 occurred on 29th April 2007, and during this time the membership has grown significantly. At last check there were 816 registered members, who have placed a whopping 3,469 post over 555 topics. You would be hard pressed, as a Grey Nomad (GN), not to find an answer to any question here. But it is not all Q &A, some of the more humorous sides of GNs comes out, occasionally unexpectantly None of this would be possible if not for the generosity of the many SPONSORS of this site, and I would not do them justice by naming them, but they can be found on the front page. Without these forthright people, there would be no site, let alone a record attempt. So welcome, one and all to this record attempt. Now come on in, join the fun, and be part of the attempt.
