Park straight across the road from the township and backs onto the carpark leading to the boardwalk , imensly clean park with nice big sites as well as little white n grey bunny rabbits raoming all over the place which for mw made it a tad relaxing feeding them milk arrowroot bikkies lol..

Easy walk along the boardwalk for some fishing off the rockwall though you only get a short window to fish due to the run that runs into and out of the system ..

The Bakery at Crescent Head. Wife used buy 2 cakes each day and we'd have 1/2 each. Then I was sent one day and only came home with one. In real trouble until she saw the size of it (the cake).

Big Desert camp (1024x515).jpg

Moonlight Tank - Big Desert Track (1024x513).jpgTaking Malleefowl (1024x521).jpgBig Desert Whistler (1024x691).jpgMalleefowl (1024x739).jpg

Last month we spent a week bush camping in the remote & fairly inaccessible Big Desert area in NW Victoria. There was no-one around except us for the whole time. No TV, phone or internet, it was a wonderful experience. The wildflowers in bloom, animals & birdlife including the endangered Malleefowl were fantastic. We spent a large part of the day wandering around with our cameras & at night enjoyed sitting by the campfire looking up at the Milky Way. BYO everything basically.

Not every ones cup of tea, definitely not a place to stay at during Summer as the temperature regularly exceeds 40+ degrees with no shade to speak of.

If there was a bush fire there's nowhere to run. It's a great place to relax, get away from it all & ''be at one with nature'' at other times of the year though.

Papou...
Buy a dual filter unit and install in water line under sink
I have it to a separate stainless water tank and sink tap for drinking\kettle only.
Filtered into tank. Dual Filtered from tank to tap.

$60 to $120, plus coupla hrs of your tine if installing tap too.
That won't take too long to recoup and all your drinking water is free after that.

PLUS.

99% of the time.
Your filtered water. is a LOT cleaner\sweeter
than that stuff in plastic bottles.

Most of them are only filtered then bottled.
They basically all a big con.

Whilst travelling across the Nullarbor I drove towards a cliff edge to find the 'Great Australian Bight'.  It is up there with Ayers Rock for a OMG moment...Beautiful even though it was a little rainy, cold & overcast....   Gwynnie  floating.gif

Hi everyone,  I have travelled from the most Northern parts to the most Southerly parts of Australia on the "Big Loop Road" filling out my "bucket list" ......number1.gif   But of all the places I have seen my trip to 'Cape York' Peninsula has been the most heart felt and 'OMG moment'.  I walked to 'the tip' of Australian one day and flew over it in a helicopter the next day!!   Happy travels from Gwynnie  floating.gif

Hi fellow travellers,

I am here visiting friends in the farming district of Oberon NSW.  I couldn't resist posting a few pristine landscape photos of this beautiful district at this time.   Gwynnie  floating.gif

Hello fellow travellers,

I have just come back from Phillip Island after attending the Super Sprint race meet and great fun was had by all of my rev head mates (both male & female) reaching speeds in excess of    220 km WOW!!  The weather was fantastic and sunny with an average temperature of 24 degrees.
