That's a good point Barney. I think that the idea is to con us cannibals into thinking it's meat. Roast beef with 3 veg and Yorkshire pud with the occasional steak(when we could afford it) was on the table when I was a nipper, and still is today in our house.

I was driving listening to the local community radio a few days ago.
The livestock reports came on and I nearly ran off the road when the liveweight prices for lamb were read out.
No wonder one needs to take out a mortgage to buy a lamb cutlet these days.
My mate the butcher around the corner from my place hates it when someone comes in and says :
"Geez YOUR meat is dear"........

Second only to when he is making cutlets, particularly when swiping them through the crumbing mixture and someone rings him up on the landline to sell him cryptocurrency or some other dodgy brothers offer.
After wiping his hands, interrupting the cutlet making process to answer the phone to a prospective customer, then finds it is some foreign speaking dodgy brother from "Melbourne" or somewhere, the language that comes out of that butcher would scare a police horse.....
