For anyone who might be considering heading north beyond Ingham, Greenvale - DON'T unless you have enough provisions to bide you through extended stops.
The Bruce Highway is still closed at the Seymour River - in might be opened later today. The Burdekin River is still over the road near Greenvale. There are a number of trucks, travellers bailed up at the Greenvale Roadhouse.
And to help everyone in cleaning up - the Weather Bureau has indicated that we are in for a heatwave in the coming days! The blocks leading to our clothes line appeared out of the water yesterday but the lawn is still very wet so the heatwave might help in getting my mower operating soon.
