Gday all. Ive recently purchased a 2006 518cdi NCV3 Sprinter, and found the wiring on the park lamp all deteriorated when I was changing the globe. It wasnt burnt at all but the plastic covering had gone hard and brittle and was falling apart. Rather than pulling the lens off the housing and replacing all the wiring, I chose to feed some heat shrink tubing over the wires. Everything now works again. Has anyone come across this before or do you think it just may be a one off issue? The other side seems ok.

Have had same problem. Sparkle said a faulty connection causing over heating. Check the push on plugs, either clean or replace
NEIL
