None. They're not taught history and treat Vets as pariahs.

Perhaps someone should ask the administrator to move this thread out of the Jokes section.

Seems like the administrators could not give a **** what goes on in the forum, they only care about the website.

I very rarely come into the 'Joke' section of the forum, but someone pointed me into this thread's direction because of this post so here I am.
After reading the pic in Southern Cruisers post I took it that he is saying it is a joke how the Govemint treats Vietnam Vets. Look at it that way and it reads different. IMO.

the funny thing is that most of us aren't worth dying for.
I served during Vietnam, Jan 72 - Aug 98, I did not get to Vietnam but many of my mates did, some did not make it back and some came back broken.
It was not the government that was spitting and throwing red paint on returning men, it was the general public, if you do not agree with what the government does, vote for a different one
but do not disrespect the people doing their duty.
Having a mate sit down next to you at a party at his house, put a double barrelled shotgun in his mouth and manage to pull both triggers gave me a whole new perspective on life.
This is not a subject for the Joke section of the forum.
Feel free to report my post but I doubt the management care anymore what goes on in the forum....

I think that, if Graham had his time over again he would not have posted in the joke section. But then none of us are perfect are we??? The way those guys were treated when they returned was appalling. I would have expected much better from those who derided the lads whose only "crime" was that they did their duty when asked.

Barney, just a look back over the last year or so and count the number of threads that have been deleted. I venture to say that admin care very much about forum content.

I did get the feeling that an admin used a WDH...

People young & old have a far different view of Vietnam Veterans these days and it has been that way since the 90's in my opinion. There are now families attending Marches,Parades & Memorials Nationwide with many families turning up to Dawn Service's at 5 am, this is not uncommon.
Graham was posting for a response. How long has it been since members on here have been to a March, Parade, Cenotaph or Memorial?
We would have a whinge when we were chosen for any of the above, but by crikey we gave it our all and we were proud of the fact that we were chosen.
There is always someone stirring things up when participation is what is required, Not copy and paste some others thoughts.
Found this today in my photo collection. Powerful words, wonder how many young people appreciate the message given.
