Hello, we are new to this site and about to renew our caravan adventure after a few years rest.
we are looking for both a tow vehicle and a caravan.
we are interested in a coromal element 512, Tare: 2151, ATM: 2841.
we would have liked to get a tow vehicle first, but the van looks pretty good.
i am interested in what other may suggest as a suitable tow vehicle.there only the two of us and we have previously traveled very light.
i am very conscious of GVM, GCM AND TBMaint that a tad confusing
but just interested in what you people recommend off the cuff
cheers

A bit of a mistype there. Perhaps you could clarify.
As for the tow vehicle I think you should provide a bit more info.
Now or used (age/budget?)
4WD? Preference for diesel or petrol? Manual or auto?
Preference for ute or SUV style?

Just a hint with Coromal vans, you'll need to check the cladding has not become delaminated and the roof is not too wavy, I nearly got caught with this when looking for another van.

Welcome to the Forum RD.
It can be a minefield out there matching Tugs and Vans, I suggest you download some (Free) technical advice and checklists from Caravan Council of Australia website.
See you out on the Wallaby.

Wise to pick a van and then the tug to match.
At the weights you are quoting pretty much most of the dual cab utes with a 3500kg towing capacity will do the job.
Be aware that most of these will not tow 3500kgs in any practical sense due to other limitations such as GCM but will happily tow around 3000 to 3100kgs and remain legal.
Also several of the SUV's such as the Landcruser, Everest and MUX could also fit.
