You now need some live mice to feed him. If no mice then fresh meat with cat or dog fur mixed in it. The boss was a wild life carer so we bred mice just for the owls.
It is illegal to keep yourself unless you are licenced, so dest to find a wild carer. A vet can tell you where to contact one.

They can get crook or die if they eat rats, mice that have ingested ratsack. Most countries have banned ratsack type product apparently.
Sitting in the lounge looking looking out the front window this afternoon, when an owl fell out of a tree .
Then two magpies swooped down to attack it,went out and with a bit of and old tee shirt and got the owl put in an old shoe box.
It seemed ok but a bit stressed, put it out of harms way, took it out on front veranda tonight hoping it moves on and is it usual self tomorrow.
It seems if it is exceptionally cold, as it has been.Their food gets hard to find so they will hunt in the day, then they are open to more predators .
Looks like an Eastern Barn Owl.
