Hanna, I do not comprehend what you mean. Do you mean that you can install and configure it by just using the graphical user interface and not have to use the command line? I have not played with Linux lately, but when I did, none of what I played with required you to use the command line inputs to get them working successfully.

You can install Linux Mint to boot and run from a usb stick, I have it installed on a 128gb USB stick its fully functional dosnt make any changes to your to pc/laptop dard drive.
To learn more just search YouTube for "setting linx Mint on a bootable USB drive". Be sure to have a look at a couple of vids to see which one suits you.

I've been using Linux Ubuntu for years, it's a great way of getting a lot more years out of an old computer. Perfect if Web browsing and email are your uses.
