A man is walking along a beach when he comes across a lamp partially buried in the sand.
He picks up the lamp and gives it a rub. A genie appears and tells him he has been granted one wish.
The man thinks for a moment and says, "I want to live forever."
"Sorry," said the genie, "I'm not allowed to grant eternal life."
"OK, then, I want to die after a Labor government balances the budget and eliminates the debt.
"You crafty little sod," said the genie.

The Genie needs to do his/her homework as Labor has a better record. Liberals make been better on the marketing for the brainwashed faithful.
Nothing has changed.

Smart man! Anybody who knows ANYTHING about economics knows that Labor's "policies" are simply not workable.
For fear of breaking firum rules I will not elaborate. Cheers

And have to ask, yet again, why in Jokes section, politics has to come into it. I shake my head in disbelief yet again

It would depend on which side of the political fence you are on, one side seem more sensitive than the other.

Dogbox, I don't see a problem with a political joke. It's when members feel they have to respond to correct what they see as a slur on their favoured politician or party that is the problem.
If it becomes someone's platform to repeatedly get a one sided view across, then that is a different story.
Let the political jokes come, and take them as jokes, not political messages.

And we all know politicians are a joke !!

Politicians are a joke, on one side they are advanced through the system of blue bloods, jobs for mates, and on the other side advanced through the commo system or through the offices of members as "speech writers" and the like and just worm their way up the through the ranks with little "real world" experience or street smarts. Our current incumbent came through those ranks of the latter, never had an "actual" job, and would be better suited as a used car salesman I reckon.
Politicians do belong in the joke section. Have a gander at the last half a dozen prime mincers we have had. You wouldn't feed any one of them, like a procession of complete dingbats!!!
