Nothing wrong with that system. Much the same as the one's on the Nullabor to charge all those Green EV's :)

We have 4 Flymo push mowers. We use 1 & have 3 spares for parts, all got off council clean ups. They work really well after a few minor adjustments.
But one does need to eat a steak, a pigeon, veal schnitzel & dozen escargot for the energy to push it!

Sold one of those for $5 about 50 years ago. Advertised it as "People powered" and it was bought by a Sister at a Convent, who planned to make any "naughty girls" mow the lawns! Cheers

Yeah, wonder if they are trucking in bio diesel (fish and chip oil) from over east to run the genny. Have they painted the whole thing green yet? and the coffee better be good.

Funny eh? it's a load of green washing bs.
Watch John Cadogan's vid "Diesel powered EV generators for the outback" vid he posted two weeks ago. Easily understood maths that no one is refuting. The solar array on the shelter roof would need to be the size of an Olympic swimming pool to power the four charging outlets, makes the term "diesel back up generator" seem silly at best. Will post a pic if I can find it on the NRMA website.
