So pulled the toilet lever to seal off cassette... doesn't happen ,the cassette internal lever moves but the sealing flap is nowhere to be seen .
A quick Utube and dismantle finds the flap had dis..engaged from mechanism....re engaged and its now working ..for how long ???
So what is the permanent fix to this issue ...? I'm thinking lack of lubricant oil causing seal to grab & dis engage or worn out internal mechanism ..?

A little olive oil smeared on the slide & seal now & then has kept our Thetford portapotti good for quite a few years now.

If the slide dries out increased friction will damage slide and seal.
Purchase an entire mechanism from Thetford (direct from England) for fraction of price of seals in Oz. Usually less than two weeks delivery - there are very poor image instructions with unit so be prepared to think a bit. Ensure you order for correct tank part number.
