If you look closely at the mechanism, the key part has been removed.

I think everyone has forgotten that we once didn't have to hold the trigger. 

I get bloody cramp in my hands & have to swap hands a few times filling the tank.

I think it would have been an even worse look if Tesla were to have bought an electric roadside assistance van from a competitor, given that they didn't yet have one of their own.

"We didn't think that it was very cool to show up to fix an electric vehicle with a combustion engine van. It really bugged us. Some really savvy technicians on our team figured out how to retrofit Model X to fit all the tooling and parts needed to do service."
