Why is it that when I am reading a post on a particular topic, let's say the 15th post on that topic, when I return to the topic it automatically returns to the first post? It would be much better if we could return to where we were last reading say the 15th post. It would save having to scroll all the way down to the 16th post.

That's the way the software has been written. Depending on how it was initially designed, could be a quick fix
or a complete re-write.

Whilst I am not at all tech savvy I do know that it is exceedingly easy to change the display of posts from " oldest first" to "newest first" at the bottom right of the page, which may solve your problem? Cheers.

What JayDee is after is a means for the software to 'remember' where he was the last time. Not complicated and a lot of systems do that these days.
However, as I mentioned previously, it may be a simple mod or a more complicated re-write.

Maybe the admin or moderator can look into this for us. Makes sense to me that we should be able to return to where we were previously.

OK, when I clicked on the site greynomads.com.au for a good read, I noticed at the bottom of the site the followqing:-
Nomad News
Accessories
Where To Go
Events
The Inside Story
On The Road
Camping Products
Types Of Rigs
Characters
Hobbies
Working As You Go
Advertising
Classifieds & Services
Donate
Privacy Policy
Ok, now when viewing the selected heading and reading the article, when one goes to return to the original the computer takes me back to where I last read the article.
Sooo why can not the same be applicable in the Forum section?
Suggest that the Admin have a look into this.
