China now has 3 million 5G base stations, 600,000 of which were built in the last 3 months. By comparison, the US has 500,000 and Australia has 4,000.
Instead of mobile phones or cards, Beijing residents can now wave their palm over a scanner to pay for goods and services. A nationwide roll-out of the system is underway. The system is reportedly 100% accurate and cannot be fooled by palms that do not 'contain' circulating blood, artificial palms or photos of palms. Furthermore, the system reportedly completely eliminates the risk of fraudulent EFTPOS payments.
Residents of China's cities Chongqing, Wuhan, (one district of) Beijing, (one district of) Guangzhou and (one district of) Shanghai have been using driverless taxis for up to a year.
China's greenhouse gas emissions grew by 4% during the first quarter of 2023. China now emits 1/3 of the world's total greenhouse gas emissions. This is despite the fact that China increased its renewable energy power generation by 32% during 2022. It is reported that Australia's greenhouse gas emissions decreased by .2% during the first quarter of 2023, .4% for the whole of 2022 and, by some but not all reports, 24% since 2005.
Sales of electric vehicles in China are forecast to reach 27 million units in 2023. By comparison, 1.5 million units are forecast for the 28 countries of the EU, 800,000 units in the US and 90,000 units in Australia.

A couple of weeks ago around Manly, in other words 'Seven miles from Sydney a thousand miles from care'... NOT! I couldn't even get 3G for phone calls. So was trying to solve the problem from Chatswood.
After about 5 hours of texting (an insulting joke in itself), I got to speak to a person as I said that I had had enough of speaking (texting) to failed AI. The problem could be solved in 5 minutes with an actual person. I seem to have 3G again.
Our area doesn't have 5G, not that I need it, but really, seven miles from Sydney!

China is on a spiral to the bottom due to families insisting on carrying on the family name (via males), terminating pregnancies which would be female. Now the 40 million shortage of females, the remaining don't want to have children. Maybe the next Chinese government policy is forced 6 child families... one way or another.

3G will totall killed off during 2024, some of the 3G frequencies are being switched over to 5G.
Eg Proserpine the 3G 850MHz (B5) has been switched over to 5G, the biggest issue with 5G less than 1k ranges from excellent to ok, 1k plus and it become so so to terrible. Optus is switching its 4G B1 and B40 to 5G.
Phones more than 4 years old will next to useless as the years pass, but the most important band is B28 778MHz on 4G its the one with the best range.
