I have a Waco fridge freezer. When I operate it on DC for awhile the power light flashers yellow.
I have tried it AC direct (it works ok)
I have tried it AC through a charger ( its ok until I turn of DC)
In the book it states low power, when I put a multi meter on it shows 12.5V

It helps if you put what model the Waeco fridge is & size. If you are using the suplied lead then you are going to have trouble if its got a cigaretet lighter plug. Also the socket on the fridge is another source of low voltage problems.

I had same proble . Turned out to be not heavy enough cable to fridge and when it starts the voltage dropped too low. I went from 13.5 v to 12v on start up. If battery is down to 13v low votage cut out operates. I would say if you have 12v now ibattery is flat.
May also be a poor joint

Hi all; I have to agree with woolman and voltage drop between your battery and your fridge. I use power cable that is rated for 25 Amps for a lot of my own installs at the time. The same thing happens with chinese diesel heaters and hart to start/white smoke!! One other thing is not to use the chassie as a earth return and use the same size cable for the negitive return as for the positve wire size.

I replaced the 16awg wire within the fridge with 12awg, also shortened the 16awg 2m Waeco cable to a few cm & replaced cigarette plug with Anderson plug. To remove irritating & unnecessary voltage drop.

Thanks for the info, looks like I have some things to check out
