As already noted, it was often left in the sun. I came to the conclusion this was done on purpose as it was so regular.

We used to carefully remove the tin foil caps from the bottles without distorting them.
We held the rim of the cap between the tip of our first & second fingers.
We flicked it which made it spin/hover like a flying saucer.
They could fly up to about 30 metres from memory.

Their was something sinister behind that milk giving out at schools in the 60's. Their is a book named the Maralinga story. Read that, then you will never vote for that Party again. Why was I born with a genetic disability, why do you have thyroid cancer, why does everyone that is aged have breast, prostate, bowel cancer? 446 dirty and nuclear bombs were allowed to be detonated on Australian soil, authorised by Robert Menzies, not just at Maralinga, but the North West of WA as well. Why not ask Abbott why he legislated out our right to sue Great Britain for what harm they did to us in detonating those dirty and nuclear bombs on our soil, contaminating dairy farms and grasslands, not only the bushland, but Sydney as it was contaminated in 1963 due to prevalling winds, a particularly high dose., And it wasn't the first or last time it happened to Sydney. They only stopped the studies, on milk contamination in 1991, relating to how many children, now adults got cancer in their lifetimes.

We were once lent a car where a litre of milk was spilt into the carpet. Evil stuff, not only does it blow your socks off, it's almost more effective than the guillotine.

When the car is a Fiat X1/9 there is effective no boot. At least with snorkels, it was fun driving around in Germany & France.
Got boring in my old age in a 4wd & fridge for the milk.

We used to have competitions to see who could drink a whole bottle with one breath. I also remember playing with the bottle caps to make them fly like 86GTS.
