Mind you... it's lucky it was the woman who hit him and not the other way around else he'd have been pilloried as a violent thug and been prosecuted whereas I expect she'll be receiving lots of sympathy for her emotional distress.

It has been reported that Karl the morning presenter was in amongst the fracas as well but I think the fact that he was there made it worthy media trash.
Clarkes girlfriend gave him a serve and a couple of lady punches. The beeper was working overtime during her outbursts.

If it has anything to do with lawn bowls or other sport, as Phillip Adams says 'I would rather stick a fork in my eye.'

There was a time "the good old days" when such a fracas would have Police attend, Officer/s would assess the situation then issue a Court attendance notice for disturbance of the peace or offensive language.
We now have situations where "those only important in their underpants" feed the griss mill of "never was/never will be" journalists skewing facts to suit a particular narrative.
Sick to the back teeth of it all.

Yep so am I.
This week Nick Kyrgrios caught on CCTV riding an E- scooter in the Melbourne CBD with his girlfriend as a passenger
Standard fine for riding the scooter around $250.
Carrying a passenger on a scooter $300.
Police say: We'll talk to him & give him some counselling.
What about fining him FGS!

There is a simple reason why they can't fine him 86GTS. The police didn't see him and they didn't take the photo. If he was fined and contested it in court all he would have to do was enter a plea of not guilty and sit down. The photo, without the person who took it giving evidence, is inadmissible. The prosecution would need to call the photographer, the photographer would need to establish that he knew or had seen NK and could identify him as the same person in the photo and then give evidence as to the locality this event occurred. In the absence of this, NK would not need to say a word to be acquitted.
Sadly, that is why the police did what they did.
