Just listening to the radio with a hospital Emergency medic being interviewed.
Christmas Day starts off very quiet, but, as the day moves on with presents being used, Emergency has one of their busiest days of the year. So they have factored in extra medics for all the broken arms & other injuries of patients who have fallen off & or impaled themselves on Christmas presents.
With our failed health system across Australia, if you do not want to die due to ramping, due to lack of beds to clear Emergency, it may be wise to open & test your presents in few days!
P.S. Another extreme emergency day is the Sydney to Bondi half marathon. Just don't do it if you want to live.

It was reported by a doctor on a TV interview that the average Covid deaths per day in Australia is currently 55 people.
Our hospitals are just like our roads, all a shamble.
