Steps for draining my two fresh 95l fresh water tanks & also the grey water tank

We have had the van for a while but due to having to have 12 month cancer treatment have only managed a few weeks away. We do not use the 2 tanks for DRINKING and thought it best to give the tanks a flush out. There is a on / off lever on each tank that requires turning on as well as a main tap to turn on which will then allow the 2 tanks to then empty. They are connected to each other. I have the Water Pump in the off position. Is it best to open up each tap { eg. the sink, hand basin & shower taps} Also is there any action required in regard to the water in the hot water system { SWIFT HOT WATER SYSTEM]. Not having to do this before I thought it best to seek what STEPS or PROCEDURES I need to undertake or follow in lieu of just turning the 2 levers on as well as the tap and just let the water empty out. That may be all I need to do but felt it best to ask before just taking that action.
Also is it much the same process for the GREY WATER TANK to be flushed out. I do sincerely thank whoever may respond to my post and steers me towards THE STEPS I need to take so as to empty the tanks and refill with fresh water. To all fellow travellers I do not get my results till mid February but am itching to once more get away and do some travels in this great land. Stay safe and enjoy your time on the road.

Jim, Draining the tanks is the easy bit, just open the bung/taps on bottom of tank/s - flushing them with some disinfectant/bleach is absolutely necessary - I prefer to fill my tanks with clean water rather than leaving them empty whilst van is laid up - Drain and re-fill prior to next use of van.
The water heater will have a manual that will include draining, replacing anode (if fitted).
I hope your treatment goes well and you're back on the track soon.

When refilling, make sure to run water through the heater so the air is expelled. If you leave air in it, you are likely to blow the element when you turn it on.

Absolutely!
Run all hot taps until there is no spluttering from any of them, then run them a bit longer.
If the electric water heating element is not fully submersed you have about 30 seconds after turning it on before it self-destructs.

Thanks for the replies so far. One question so far is... Do I need to have all taps lifted up into a central position or is there no need to touch them apart from turning them on when the tanks refill and then flush all the cold and hot taps to clear any air etc,both from the tanks & the hot water heater unit.

Hard on with hot taps first, then hard on cold, repeat with all taps until no air splutters
